LinkCommand User Manual
Process
As search engines algorithms place more emphasis on off-page factors, managing and maintaining relevant link
relationships with quality websites have taken center stage. LinkCommand offers a comprehensive link management
service designed to be easy to use yet feature rich.
Guests that visit your website may desire to enter into a quality link
exchange relationship.
On your outbound link pages maintained by LinkCommand, Guests can
click the user configurable "add a link" message. The message is
coded in an off page .js file with a unique file name for a ZERO/ZERO
footprint.
The Add a Link Form is where guests view webmaster link
requirements, special instructions and enter all
the information about their website. Subscribers
may configure the frequency with which they are
notified: never, once every 1, 2, 3... 7 days.
LinkCommand subscribers may review all
Pending Links requests in LinkCommand's
Pending Link report.
Individual link requests may be: Approved,
Changed, Declined and Blocked. If
subscribers are maintaining more than one websites in the same
account, a 3-way link can be
configured. Subscribers may choose
to send notification of link disposition.
3-way link notifications are subscriber
configurable.
The disposition of each link request is recorded in LinkCommand's Db.
When additions/deletions/modifications are made to subscribers' links,
LinkCommand generates revised link pages for uploading.
LinkCommand subscribers may choose to receive an email (processed within 5 minutes) with HTML attachments for
local uploading or allow LinkCommand to automatically FTP new pages to your site during off-peak hours, typically
within 2-12 hours.
LinkCommand allows subscribers to run ON-DEMAND link verify for every link. This function verifies that links
residing on Guest websites are still pointing to subscriber's website. LinkCommand reports the status of each link so
subscribers can take appropriate action.
LinkCommand's Control Panel is simple to use. Creating an outbound link page template and importing existing
links takes less than 5 minutes. Link page Template creation is similar to placing an html include line. Just point
LinkCommand to your existing outbound links pages and LinkCommand will parse pages for you.
